Chelsea midfielder is set to wear footwear during Chelsea’s training session on Tuesday, the Daily Mail reports.
The 20-year-old midfielder, who has a reputation for being quick to react, is set for a warm-up before Chelsea take on Everton in the Premier League on Saturday.
He is one of the first players to wear boots on the pitch for the Blues, alongside fellow Chelsea player Nathaniel Chalobah.
He has also made an impact for the club’s youth academy team in recent years, making three appearances for the Under-21s.
The youngster was named on Chelsea’s senior squad for the first time in his career last season, playing 20 matches in the top flight for the Londoners.
Chelsea have not played any competitive games since January 2016, when they went down 2-0 to Leicester.
